【松島】つながる湾プロジェクト[Matsushima] Tsunagaru Wan Project

霊場の月を愛でた人びとの視点Through the Eyes of Those Who Loved Moon Watching From a Sacred Place

かつては訪れた人がその景色に極楽浄土を想い、修行僧が集った《霊場松島》を舞台に、この地に魅了され菩提寺を建立した伊達政宗公の視点を得て、海に浮かぶ月を捉まえました。そらあみを編む糸は、事前リサーチを通じて、その土地で見つけた歴史・文化・人・地形などといった、新しい視点を色に置き換えて染められたものが使われます。雄島・瑞巌寺では、月の金波(きいろ)、月の銀波(しろ)、松葉(濃緑)、松の幹(茶褐色)、空/海(そらいろ)の5色の糸で編まれました。“Sacred Matsushima,” was a place visitors thought resembled the paradise of the Pure Land and where Buddhist monks once gathered. Here, Sora-ami captured the moon reflected on the ocean from the viewpoint of feudal lord Masamune Date, who was attracted to that place and established his family temple there.
